Privacy policy
Last updated November 1, 2026
Stoa is a personal tool run by Ben Osman for his own YouTube channel. This policy explains what it accesses, why, and what happens to it.
What Stoa accesses
With the channel owner's permission, given through Google's sign in screen, Stoa uses the YouTube API Services to read the channel's own data: channel and video details, and YouTube Analytics reports such as views, watch time, impressions and click rate. If the owner separately grants upload permission, Stoa can upload a video to that channel as a private video when the owner asks it to.
How the data is used
The data is used only to show the channel owner how his own videos are doing and to help him plan his own videos. It is not used for advertising, it is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone.
Where it is kept
Reports are stored only on the channel owner's own computer. The sign in tokens are kept in a private file on that computer that only the owner's user account can read. Nothing is kept on any server run by Stoa, because there is none.
Google API Services
Stoa's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google's own handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Removing access
Access can be removed at any time from the Google Account security settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Local reports can be deleted by the owner at any time.
